Today's Virgo's horoscope is about whether or not to continue in a relationship. How patient must we be when it comes a man? (Just re-reading that statement makes me giggle). As women, do we ever intend on doing a slow, steady jog when it comes to happily ever after? I have no shame admitting that I am a complete failure when it comes to this topic.
However, I am really great, even outstanding, at helping with everyone else. My friends tell me I should have a radio show. Can you see me listening to random people whine? The fact that they can't get their significant other to stop doing whatever stupid thing they are doing and yet they are going to listen to me. Really!
Know usually I am the first one a lot of people I know come to when they have issues. I am the voice of reason when someone is about to go off the deep end. I am extremely honest (not sure if that is always a good thing). I am always going to speak exactly what is on my mind (even if it is not what they want to hear). I have a very conservative, old-fashion idea of marriage (whole different topic). I seem to be able to reiterate the meaning or point their partners were trying to convey, in a way that makes sense, makes them less defensive.
Most of the time I start my advice with something like 'Know that I am on your side, I am your friend first but do you think that maybe...'. I then just calmly begin to ask question, really try to provoke them to find the core of what it upsetting them.
A lot of the time I think it is the need to feel valued, love or respected by that special someone (love language folks, great topic to read up on!). For some reason, at that moment of contention, they began to feel those old arrows of insecurity creeping in. It is these feelings that make us quick to question our worth and ultimately causes us to lash out. Almost like a protective measure. OK! Enough with my Dr. Phil lesson. Back to me! It is after all my blog!
I think one of the reasons for my failures is that I am a HELPLESS romantic! When I am truly invested in a relationship I am all in. I am always trying to find a way to do something special, considerate and unusual so that my somebody knows that they are cared for deeply. I never want the other person to wonder what I am thinking, feeling or needing. I want to be loved and adored the same way. I want love letters, flowers, to randomly dance to a love song in the middle of an empty road. I want my somebody to kiss me until I am breathless. I want to know the fear of being without me outweighs any baggage that causes them to have a fear of failing. I want to be "the one". Is that to much?? I do not think so!
I hate games, I hate the thought of being secretive or pretending to be someone or something that I am not. If you have to lie so that you are more interesting to the other person. Is that really love? I don't think it is. Then again I am single. LOL!
I was told by someone recently that 'I think to much and I need to just relax and go with it'. That is a funny thing to say to me, a Virgo. Relax! How can you expect me to do that when I have to examine every little detail. Dissect every single word, action, motive. Me not look for or try to find a deeper meaning behind 'I want fries with that'...is that possible?
Is that a trick question??
